31 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 31 Weeks
Size of baby: 16 inches - 3.5 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Still a mix - all maternity pants, normal dresses, some normal shirts
Gender: A girl - Hannah Lynn
Movement: Definitely my favorite part about pregnancy :-)
Food Cravings: nothing
What I miss: sleeping on my back & tummy
Sleep: alright, except for the amazing amount of effort it requires to turn over
Symptoms: not so much this week. No contractions, not a lot of pain - good week!
Wait, does growing by the MINUTE count as a symptom?
Best Moment this week: my new nephew being born! Hannah & Carson will be exactly 2 months apart! Definitely made me ready for her to be here though...8 more weeks to go!

30 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 30 Weeks
Size of baby: 15 1/2 inches - 3 lbs
(that's the average size. I'm willing to bet my baby is bigger...)
Maternity Clothes: Still a mix - all maternity pants, normal dresses, some normal shirts
Gender: A girl - Hannah Lynn
Movement: I was just telling David this week that her movements are quite different than Kate's. Kate was kinda a constant rolling around. Hannah is much more spastic - big strong movements, then a long pause, then another flailing around. Different little girls already :-)
Food Cravings: nothing this week
What I miss: sleeping on my back & tummy
Sleep: alright, except for the amazing amount of effort it requires to turn over. ha! I even had a night of not getting up this week!
Symptoms: lower back pain
Best Moment this week: scheduling our c-section - Hannah's birthday will be December 18th!
That is unless she decides to come earlier!
What I am looking forward to: being in the single digits! CRAZY! Since my c-section will be at 39 weeks, I can't believe she'll be here in 9 weeks.

**Also!! My new nephew is being born on Monday (if not before!) Can't wait to meet him!**

Grown-up fun

Since our kids were too busy having fun without us & DEFINITELY not interested in posing for pictures...we decided to just get a few of our own. Mostly of David being fun. 'Cause that's just what he is.

Even though most of you have seen it by now, I'll start with my favorite.

I pretty sure I have one of the most fun husbands out there...

Us with our daughter who doesn't have a choice but to sit with us :-)

"Punkin" Patch 2010

This year, we had a little less time so we decided to try out a new pumpkin patch in Gilmer - Calie's Acre. It wasn't our favorite. (more on that later) But, nonetheless, on Saturday night we headed out with Nana & Poppa, the Bergmans & Sharie. A great tradition we are building!

Look at how little they were last year!!!

It was MUCH easier to get great pics last year, but we gave it our best...

Overall, we had a great time. They failed to mention on their website that they charge $5 a person to take pictures around their patch, and that the animals aren't always there - see disappointed kids & ripped off grandparents :-) Oh well...

Getting closer!

I love this time of building a house because so many things start happening so fast & it really feels like things are moving forward.

Last week, they finished bricking & rocking...

And finished the texture & trim work, which includes the cabinets!

kitchen
laundry room
left side of master bath
right side of master bath

This week we picked out our lights on Monday, they are starting the painting process tomorrow, and we go to pick out all the rest of the details - flooring, hardware, plumbing fixtures, etc. on Thursday! 4-5 more weeks to go!!!

Nana & Poppa came to visit!

My parents decided to make a quick trip to see us this weekend. I've been wanting to show them our house since they hadn't seen it since it was just framed & Kate always enjoys the fun they bring! She screamed with excitement the first time she saw them Friday night & I don't think she stopped being excited until after they left!

Saturday morning I had a garage sale & David needed to go to work to catch up on a bunch of things, so Kate had Nana & Poppa all to herself & she got SPOILED (as usual!).

First they headed to Whataburger for breakfast. Can't beat pancakes with this girl...

Then they headed over to Lois Jackson park.

And finished up their adventures at the bookstore where Kate got some new fun pumpkin books. There's a peek-a-boo one that she just laughs hysterically at.

By the time I caught up with them for lunch after the garage sale she was a tired little girl! Too much fun!

I also have a really funny video of a new game Nana & Kate created, but it won't let me upload it. I'll try again later...

Fall

We are loving being outside these days! One day this week while Kate was exploring, I decided to take my camera & get a few new pictures of her. It's been a long time since I've taken any (a combination of it being TOO hot & her moving ALL THE TIME!). Her outfit wasn't the cutest ever & her hair was a mess...but we still had fun.

Brick & Stone

They started bricking the house on Thursday. There were guys working when I was there, so I didn't take any pictures. Today I went by again & there were still guys. I decided I didn't care this time. I just took them from my car :)

Most of the house is a brownish brick called Cajun French. We really like it. We tried to find another we liked because this one runs just little bit higher because it's just a little bit smaller than "standard" brick. Which means more bricks needed & more labor putting it up. We drove around looking at every brick possible & just couldn't find one we liked as much - so we decided to cut a cost somewhere else & stick with it! On the parts of the front of the house that stick out (& the fireplace inside), we are using the white Austin Stone. David used this combination on one of his other spec houses it turned out beautifully. Can't wait to see it all done!

The pictures are kinda shadowy since I took them from my car...

This had to be taken from kinda far away, but it's the back of the house
