A Wedding Weekend

Last weekend my 2nd cousin (or something like that...never know how all that works) got married in Nacogdoches. Our families took trips to the beach often growing up, so we saw eachother more often than most second cousins. My parents came to town to spend the

weekend with us & go to the wedding.

Nana letting Kate help herself to the candy table. Just kidding...I let her taste that sucker & she LOVED IT! My kind of girl!

So...one of my best friends/neighbors from junior high through 10th grade was Jaime Riehl (see below pic). She was moving to Nacogdoches after 10th grade, and I didn't want her to be friendless, so my mom called up my dad's cousin (bride's mom) and told them about them coming & Jaime and my 2nd cousin became great friends! It was so fun to see an old friend that I hadn't seen in like 13 years at the wedding!!!

And let's be honest, not a lot of men would want to spend their Saturday evening traveling to their wife's 2nd cousin's wedding...but this guy...he did it. He loves me.
