This month Kate...
--New words: tree (tee), bow (bo), paci "pa-i", pray "pay", cracker "crak-ah", Jackson "yack-suh", water "watee" or "wah-wah", dog "doggie" (have you noticed a lot of words end with "-eee" with her??), stuck "guckk", snack "sna"
--has been EXTRA LOUD! She'll just start yelling for the fun of it...not because she's upset...I guess she just thinks it's funny.
--runs better - still not a full out run, but her whole body shakes from side to side. Hopefully I can get it on video!
--says "dee" on the Deep part of Deep & Wide while you sing
--added growling like a bear (it may or may not sound a lot like a lion...but she does it when she sees bears!), and moos like a cow
--same sleeping - is more flexible if the morning one has to be missed - she just takes a longer 2nd nap
--same eating - still not fond of veggies. I hid a bunch of vegetables (peas, spinach, sweet potato) in pancakes this month & she didn't mind that.
--loves to stomp her feet. She will just be walking along and all of the sudden start stomping. so funny
--understands so much more of what I say her her than she has words for!
--if you ask her if she's crazy she shakes her head fast side to side & screams "ahhhhh!" (was doing this last month too)
--added an elephant to her animal sounds - lifts her arm up by her ear & blows a raspberry with her lips
--likes to walk by herself while we're going to in somewhere
--is fascinated with people's & her own eyelashes. She loves to sit in mine & David's laps & run her finger back and forth over ours.
--plays very well independently
--likes to talk on the phone. She plays like she's on one a lot. If you ask her who it is she says "Nana" - since that's the only person she really talks to.
--tucks her hands behind her back when she's walking/running around - sometimes she just does one, so it looks like she's walking with her hand on her hip.
She is just too fun. We spend a lot of our day laughing & I am trying to soak up all these last few moments of our time alone together. I can't imagine anything better than getting to stay at home & be with this little girl.
