28 Weeks

Hello 3rd Trimester!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 28 Weeks
Size of baby: 15 inches - at little over 2 lbs!
Maternity Clothes: Still a mix - all maternity pants, normal dresses, some normal shirts,
Gender: A girl - Hannah Lynn
Movement: Oh yes! You can see my belly dancing all over. I LOVE it!
Although, some of her movements have gotten so strong they hurt. It's amazing how much faster things happen the 2nd time around.
Food Cravings: nothing this week
What I miss: sleeping on my back & tummy
Sleep: alright, except for the amazing amount of effort it requires to turn over. ha!
Symptoms: this week, I had all the same stuff I'd been having, but also added TONS of "pressure".
Best Moment this week: getting checked by my doctor because of the pressure & NOT having any progress yet. So thankful to not be on bedrest!
What I am looking forward to: cooler weather continuing to come. So fun to spend our mornings outside. Maybe I'll talk David into camping??

Sheet Rock

They sheet rocked my house in just 2 days!! It's so exciting to see it now with walls, where you can really see how the rooms are laid out. This week, they're texturing. Next week - trim, cabinets & painting. We're getting to the fun part!!!

The Bonus Room

looking towards the front of the house - kitchen on left, living room on right, dining room & entry way in the front

They had also started bricking while I was there today, but I figured the nice men might not want me to take their pictures.

Insulation

Still plugging along at the house! If things went perfectly according to plan (as of last Thursday) we would be in the house mid/late November. Well, we've already moved that plan back 2 days since the sheet rock guys didn't come yet, but you get the idea.

This week the house got insulated & inspected a few times. Inspections always have potential for problem, but my builder is amazing (not to mention good looking) and we passed easily.

It's fun to see the insulation & start to see some separation between the rooms. Monday they'll start sheet rocking & we'll really be able to see the rooms. I can't wait!!

New York City

A couple weeks ago, I got to go on a girl trip with my Grandmother, Mom, & Aunt to New York City! We had such a great time & even though I've been close to 10 times, as always there were new things to do & experience!

This time we rode one of the double decker tour buses. When I first heard about it I was pretty convinced it'd be fairly lame. I was definitely wrong though - it was fun to see different parts of the City that they went through that our walking doesn't usually take us to & hear some of the fun tid-bits from the tour guides. The only lame one was through Brooklyn at night - definitely could've been a much shorter ride.

We also ate at some new places. Carmine's was one of them...

We saw 2 shows - A Little Night Music & Million Dollar Quartet. MDQ was FANTASTIC! Such fun music & a great story. ALNM was good - maybe not one I'd tell you to pick if you asked my opinion, but it's hard to beat getting to see Burnadette Peters.

A horse-drawn carriage through Central Park...

Thanks for such a fun trip ladies!!

Shingles

We're not sick...we just have a roof! Things are starting to pick up again at the house. Today, we have an inspection for all of the electrical work, Wednesday they start insulating, and maybe sheet-rocking by Friday! I can't wait for it to be sheet-rocked where you can really see the rooms laid out. Here are some pics of our new roof...

We went over to the house last week to make sure all the plugs/cable outlets were in the right place & Kate loved exploring...

This gives you a more accurate view of the color of the painted trip/shingles/and the full front door.
We just might get this house built in time!
