First Day of School

Even thought I haven't blogged the last day of school (even though in my head there are full intentions to!) I've just decided to go ahead and do the first day of school!  Mostly because you've just got to see the comparison at the bottom!

The girls were excited to get back to "school" at Pine Tree Church of Christ's Mother's Day Out.  This place has been such a gift to us and we LOVE it.  And of course they had super cute outfits - handmade by my friend Charity!
Jesse doesn't go far from Hannah's hands these days!

exactly how old does she think she is?

and just for fun.  seriously.  I can't quit looking at this side by side.

Look at that baby!  And she looks so old on the right!
Seriously.  can't believe it.

This girl...

I said in my last post one of my favorite things about this girl is how easily excited she is.  One of my other favorite things is she LOVES to have fun & be silly.  And a fellow fun lover myself, I take her up on it as often as possible.  Here we are creating some of our own fun while we waited for Angela's shower to start...

I hope we're always talking each other into more & more silliness.

Mail!

Each month at school Kate learns about a different community people (there's a word for this??  public service??  ugh.  can't think of it. You know - teachers, mailmen, etc. So, community people it is.)

Anyway, last month she learned about mail carriers!  She loved this, and we checked the mail everyday together, we talked about how mail got from the sender to our house.  I just love all of the new convos we have from what she's learning.

Last week, they "wrote" letters to themselves at school, then mailed them home.  To say she was excited to get mail was a HUGE understatement.  I love that about this girl.  Her excitement is never hidden & always contagious!

I found them!

Every year I hope for a chance to get to take the girls' pictures in the Bluebonnets.  I grew up doing it & not having them in East Texas makes me so sad!  When we pulled into Austin this weekend, I was so excited to see that they were still blooming.  My mom & I scooped up the kids in the 20 minutes we had and found a patch close to their neighborhood.

This girl participated...

And this one at least would get in the area I asked her & look at them.  No smiles, but still a good pic...

Oh but this girl.  She was having NONE OF IT.

Hahahaha.  Oh well.  It's all about the memories.

Easter Fun with the Mitchells

Sunday evening we headed over to Mimi & Granddad's to do an egg hunt with Adrianna & have dinner.  The girls had a blast playing with Addi!
