Enjoying Nana & Poppa's House

One of my favorite things about going to my parents is just getting to enjoy playing with my girls without the pressures of keeping house & things that being home demands.  Here are some of the pictures of our summer trips & our fun just playing at their house!

Caldwell Zoo

My MOPS group headed back to the zoo this summer & again planned it on the weekend I was already planning on heading to Austin for Connor's birthday.  It was SUPER hot - but thankfully there is a good deal of shade & there was a little breeze!

ready to go!
Kate was even more into the animals this time.  She knew more of them & loved getting to see what was coming!

As we left each animal she would say "ok, let's go see..." fill in the blank with whichever animal she wanted to see next!

"Swimming"

Andrew came over awhile back so his Momma & Daddy could go on a date & I told the kids we could get out the pool & swim in the backyard.  I didn't realize it had molded while in storage & David had thrown in out.

Well, when life gives you lemons...

...climb in the water table & get out a rubbermaid tub!

They didn't seem to mind!

He is just too cute!

Just relaxin'

Swimmin' in Style

Mimi got the girls matching swimsuits & they are just too cute in them!  (If I do say so myself....)

What she said this week...

I decided to keep this all on one post & just update it periodically :-)  Here are some of her new phrases for the week...

May 20
"I hold you up" - I love how little kids say "I hold you", but this week she's been adding up to the end

She watches a video called "ABCs with Elmo" periodically & a couple days ago she came in and told me "Mommy.  Cookie on compooter.  Go to sesame street dot org".  OH.MY.WORD!  There is an advertisement at the end of the video with Cookie Monster that tells the kids to go to sesamestreet.org for more.  The things they absorb!

March 30
"How about..." This is said when she's making any choice. Another one she picked up from me. Didn't even realize I said it until I was picking out a video for Kate and I said "how about veggie tales." My little echo!

"Daddy, you com-min'?" - said every time we're leaving the house
